Role Summary : At Engineering Center St. Valentin (ECS), we are developing the next generation of electric drive systems for hybrid and electric vehicles (BEVs). As Working Student you will support the project team during the series development phase. You will work within the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) function group. Your task will be to support the evaluation of customer requirements and define EMC requirements for development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Close coordination with different function groups
  • Analysis of EMC Customer Requirements on System-Level (Requirement Analysis)
  • Creation of EMC System Specification within a certain project (CAP)
  • Creation of EMC specifications for electrical attachment parts (DCU, oil pump,...)
  • Creation of an EMC Test Specification (EMC Test Plan)
  • Pre-Compliance measurements with the EMC Design Engineer(s)
  • Full-Compliance measurements
  • Radiated immunity tests
  • Interference emission measurements
  • ESD testing
  • Conducted immunity tests (ISO pulse)
  • Creation and regular update of the test overview

Your profile :

  • Currently in your bachelor or master studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics or computer science or a comparable degree
  • basic knowledge of electrical drive systems
  • Communication skills in dealing with team members and customers
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written German and or English

Additional Information : The cooperation is based on a "freelancer" basis. The amount of hours per week (approx. 15-20h/week) is flexible and can be varied according to the study situation. The hourly rate for this position is at least EUR 13,-, depending on experience and knowledge this can be increased
