For our Production Location in Schwechat, we are currently looking for a Senior Specialist (M/F/d) with the focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Quality and Production. In this role, you will provide expertise, support and training towards our Borstar Pilot Plant while strengthen the HSE & Quality processes of the Pilot Plant as part of the Innovation delivery organisation.

Your tasks:

• to act as Synergie Investigator for the pilot plant by follow up of Engagement walks, near misses and plant audits and to ensure the raw material documentation in alignment with Product Stewardship ( e.g on Safety Data Sheets, Work Place Safety Sheets, chemical substance overview etc).
• to check all safety relevant aspects regarding new materials and process parameters (together with Campaign Engineer and process engineer)to be responsible for the calculation and review of flaring streams and for the monthly consumption report (e.g monomer, utilities).
• to support the Pilot Plant manager and Supervisor in establishing and leading trainings (technical trainer) for the operators including yearly schedule preparation (fire brigade, HSE training, quality trainings etc).
• to update the procedures which describes pilot plant processes (e.g IT 4013, OCS) and standard operating procedures according to the local requirements.
• to create and develop the annual Q-Targets for Schwechat Pilot and Porvoo Pilot in respect to quality improvement and focus areas. Follow up on a bi-monthly basis and reporting to S&E Quality management.
• to participate in the on call team (outside normal office hours) and to work closely with the shift team to ensure plant operation, performance and product quality.
• to act as deputy for the supervisor.
• to be responsible for the innovation proposal handling, follow up and closure.

About you : You are the right person for this role, if you have finished your technical education and you have already a relevant work experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar work environment. Moreover, you have gained experience in training people and you are driven to ensure and monitor HSE standards. A plus would be if, you have an understanding of the petrochemical industry. Your English and German is fluent and you enjoy engaging, motivating and involving people. Last but not least, you are open to have on call duties approximately once per month.
