Within group.one, Herold is the specialist for online media and marketing services. It is our goal to strengthen the online presence of local SMEs. With a well thought-out product portfolio, we are the first point of contact when it comes to online marketing for small and medium-sized companies in Austria. We create websites, do online advertising and much more.

The role is positioned within group.one and you collaborate with colleagues from different offices. Together with your small core team, you are part of a larger development team of 20 people.
  • Maintaince and Development : You maintain, develop, and enhance internal (web) applications. You design and improve interfaces as well as monitor and ensure a smooth operation of web applicaions.
  • Documentation : You create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Softwate Systems : You conceptualize, develop and optimize software systems for products and internal management tools independently. You participate in the planning of interfaces, databases, microservices and user interfaces, using current technologies and frameworks. You onboard new software projects and conceptualize software solutions based on given tasks.
  • Programming : You program backend and frontend solutions based on provided tasks. You plan and manage personal resources to achieve sprint and project goals.
  • Quality Assurance : You analyze and resolve software errors as well as proactively review and address documented software issues or similar development related entries. You perform basic quality assurance of code and functionalities provided. You contribute to the monitoring infrastructure for better application operation oversight (error log, error aggregation, metrics). You conduct code reviews and refactor existing codes in coordination with your supervisor.

  • Education : You have a completed university degree, ideally in Computer Science / Business Informatics, or completed a training as an IT specialist or comparable qualification with a focus on computer science / development.
  • Technical skills : You have extensive experience with JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, related database systems, version control tools and PHP frameworks. Knowledge of frameworks such as Laravel and Inertia is advantageous. You have knowledge of unit testing, web servers, and Unix/Linux with shell scripting.
